At home Acrylic Nails

I am going to be attempting at home acrylic nails, I have never done my own nails before and quite frankly I am not that good at painting my own nails. But I figure with some practice, in the long run it will save me money instead of going to the nail salon.
I have been doing alot of research mostly via You Tube, I mean you can find everything on there including step by step tutorials on how to do basic french manicures to fancy nail art videos. I have gotten so many tips and I feel I have enough knowledge now do do it my self.  I don't know exactly which acrylic nail set I am going to be getting yet. There are a couple of kinds, including different acyclic powders like glitter powder and clear, and colored powder. I like the glitter powders but they are more for fancy artistic nails. I decided to go with acrylics cause gels nails are harder to do. Alot of people have said gel nails are less damaging to the nail bed and overall a better quality nail then acrylic but I like how you can work with acyclic to get it perfect, as as apposed to gel where you have to keep applying coat after coat. Oh and you need a UV light for most gels. Alot of salons will tell you that your getting a real gel nail and you pay a couple extra dollars for something that is acrylic with a gel top coat. It has happened to me. Don't be mistaken. That is not a full gel nail. Gel nails are a bit more complicated and take more skill, If you can find a salon that does real gel nails then good for you. I am going to be putting two links at the bottom to videos describing the difference between the two if anyone is concerned.
I will be going to get the supplies soon from Sally's Beauty Supply   store, it has everything from salon quality hair dyeing products to makeup, tools and nail manicure sets and decals and the kits to do at home acrylic nails. I just love Sally's because everything there is so cheap, and it is better quality then the regular drugstore brands. I don't know exactly which acrylic nail set I am going to be getting. There are a couple of kinds. I am going to be buying all the supplies and trying it out on a few people before I do my self cause I am not good at painting my own nails so I doubt I can extend my own nails without running into trouble. I am going to write another post when I do it and I will put Pictures up to show everyone how it went, so keep checking back.
